Established in 1967 by Mario Dovalina and Edwin Ptak, Pepe's has grown from humble beginnings to become a famous Chicago original for over 50 years.

Pepe's Mexican Restaurants are the original concept. These are full service restaurants that offer casual family dining as well as carryout service. They are individually owned and operated. Typically the person greeting you at the door is the owner.

Always have loved pepes. Usually always get the steak fajitas and chili con queso. Tonight was great, servers are always friendly, gorgeous decorating on the inside. Been going here for years, and also have to love their salsa. Will always go back here, time after time.

Great customer experience and friendly staff. Warm welcome eveytime we walk in this place. The tacos al pastor at this spot are some of the best Ive ever had and ive lived in Mexico! The steak quesadillas are always a hit. Their signature margarita is a must try!

This is a casual Mexican restaurant. The chips are perfect (don't add any salt), salsa great, not too spicy! Chicken fajitas were delicious and plentiful. Was impressed with the assortment of extras with the fajitas! Highly recommend!
